Keep exploring. Keep dreaming. Keep asking why. Don’t settle for what you already know. Never stop believing in the power of your ideas, your imagination, your hard work to change the world. (Barack Obama)
Anneke Geyzen has a soft spot for research and innovation. She obtained her PhD in History in 2013 at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, where she did research on the close relationship between innovation and history through the lens of food. She then moved to New York to take a closer look at informal entrepreneurship and learn about the impact of co-creation on innovative processes. Convinced by the value of the quadruple helix model of innovation, she became part of the TTO (Tech Transfer Offices) at the VUB. Here, she advised researchers on shaping European project proposals and developing valorisation and impact plans. Today, Anneke works as a project coordinator on a European incubator and accelerator programme for start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs active in Next Generation Media.
