Task-oriented search and content annotation for media production
The TOSCA-MP project looked for future media, annotation and search applications for professional media users in a networked production and archive environment (eg. TV, radio, online).
The project was a collaboration between ten partners from five European countries. The VRT provided its expertise on search technology in this project. Furthermore, we contributed to the tests for users and provided VRT media equipment for research purposes.
The result of the project is a flexible architecture for the automatizing of different media production workflows, always with the intent of unlocking media content. In cooperation with Playence, a search robot was built that made the automatized annotated content searchable.
