Images with higher dynamic range and richer colours for cinemas and living rooms
HD2R researches how a viewing experience can be optimally improved by using increased dynamic reach in colors, contrast and brightness. For this, the project carries out groundbreaking visual quality experiments for an optimal and trustworthy rendering, conversion and color correction of HDR-images.
In this project, we examine how to deal with this new technology. Does it change something on the set? Does a new visual language originate? Which new standards arise? How do we adjust to the production process and what about post-production?
