MediaMotorEurope supports high-potential European deeptech innovators in building the media solutions of tomorrow

MediaMotorEurope (MME), een nieuw project dat medegefinancierd wordt door het Horizon 2020-programma van de Europese Commissie, wil stimulansen bieden aan veelbelovende Europese deeptech-pioniers die bezig zijn om de prominentste actuele uitdagingen van de media-industrie op te lossen. Het wil ze steunen bij het ontwikkelen van schaalbare mediaoplossingen.

VRT and EDI launch new big data challenges for startups and SMEs

The European project EDI and VRT launch for the third consecutive year new challenges. EDI is a fund of 5 million euros in total to help grow data economy throughout Europe. The 8 months lasting program already hosted 80 startups and SMEs that received growing opportunities and gave them a chance to receive financing up to 100,000 euros as well.

Within the framework of the European research project CPN (Content Personalisation Network), we are now launching the third and final pilot study on personalised news. 

VRT Innovation at IBC, in pictures

This year, VRT Innovation showcased 5 projects at IBC, the yearly international media, entertainment and technology conference in Amsterdam. At different stands, organised by VRT and partners, visitors were able to experience personalised and interactive radio, discover media applications in a smart city, and learn more about the technological opportunities for media accessibility. Experience interactive and personalised media with VRT Innovation at IBC

From the 13th till the 17th of September, VRT Innovation is represented at the IBC event, the yearly international media, entertainment and technology conference in Amsterdam. Together with its partners, VRT Innovation showcases 5 projects that focus on delivering a more personalised and interactive media experience, and innovating together.

Smart city project FLAME launches call for new media experiences using 5G

As part of the FLAME project, VRT worked together with partners as Disney and Martel Innovate to create a smart media infrastructure in order to experiment with new personalised, localised and interactive media applications. The project is now in its end phase and is looking for proposals from SMEs and startups for new media experiences that make use of 5G networks.
